On Wednesday August 21, Garcia YMLA held its traditional tie-tying ceremonies. We welcomed our new brothers, learned about why we include the lines 'I look good, I feel good' in our creed, and we were joined by some very special guests!

Huge congratulations to Garcia YMLA students who not only met standard with Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 2018-19, but exceeded last year's scores! Through hard work and determination, our students raised Garcia's score in the state of Texas by a whole letter grade.

Garcia to benefit from IT partnership with Verizon
Garcia YMLA has been selected as one of fifty middle schools to join the Verizon Innovative Learning schools initiative in 2019-20. The initiative will give every student and teacher at Garcia a device and up to a four-year data plan.
