Garcia YMLA has been selected as one of fifty middle schools to join the Verizon Innovative Learning schools initiative in 2019-20. The initiative will give every student and teacher at Garcia a device and up to a four-year data plan.

In addition to this, Garcia staff will receive training and professional development that supports students in the use of technology both in and out of the classroom.
