Gus Garcia YMLA offers a range of athletics electives in addition to required physical education classes. Our athletics instructors aim to encourage physical activity through team sports, individual sports and help students develop a lifelong enjoyment for physical activity.
Eligibility Requirements
All athletes must have an Austin ISD-approved physical that's dated no earlier than April 15 of the previous year before participating in any sport at Garcia YMLA.
Students signing up for athletics as a class must also turn in a physical. Any student signed up for athletics without a completed physical will be moved to PE.
