Last week, our talented Gus Garcia YMLA guitar students participated in the AISD Guitar All-City event at the AISD Performing Arts Center, and it was an incredible experience! Traditionally, this event brings together the top 5–10% of middle and high school guitarists, across AISD, for a full day of rehearsal, culminating in a stunning evening performance. This year, the event had an exciting twist: beginners were invited to perform alongside our advanced students, giving even more students the chance to shine on the big stage.

The concert was filled with good vibes, amazing music, and plenty of energy, showcasing the hard work, dedication, and talent of our young musicians. Families, friends, and community members who attended were treated to a memorable evening—and yes, the cool event t-shirts were a hit too!

Thank you to everyone who supports our music program. Moments like these remind us how music brings our campus community together, inspires creativity, and builds confidence in our students. Here’s to more performances and continued success for our guitarists!
