4H empowers young people with skills the classroom doesn’t always teach. Confidence; the know-how to work well with others; the ability to push through challenges and stick with a job until it gets done. In 4H, we don’t just prepare youth with the knowledge to get through life’s obstacles, we teach them how to conquer them.

Art Club

Every Wednesday with Mrs. Barnes (cierra.barnes@austinisd.org): Let’s brush up on our skills.!

Joining the Art Club is a colorful way to express creativity and explore different artistic styles. Members get to experiment with painting, drawing, and crafting while learning new techniques and sharing ideas. It’s a fun, supportive space where imagination shines and every piece of art tells a story. In Art Club, creativity is our masterpiece!


Barber Club

Scheduled with Mr. Z. Mullins on a regular basis (zackary.mullins@austinisd.org): We cut hair for shear the fun of it!

Partnered with Impact Barber Academy! Joining the Barber Club is a hands-on way to learn about hair styling, grooming, and creative barbering techniques. Members get to practice cutting, trimming, and designing unique styles while building confidence and professionalism. It’s a fun space to express creativity, learn valuable skills, and connect with others who share a passion for barbering. In Barber Club, every cut is a chance to style your future!

Chess Club

Cooking Club

When it comes to just about any event or party, it always starts with the food and the kitchen. 

Joining the cooking club is a fun and rewarding way to learn new skills and make friends. Members get the chance to explore different recipes, experiment with ingredients, and discover how to prepare delicious meals and snacks. It’s not just about cooking—it’s about teamwork, creativity, and learning to follow directions while having fun in the kitchen. Plus, sharing what you make with others brings a real sense of pride and accomplishment!


FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)

Every other Wednesday morning, in the Library.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is one of the fastest-growing clubs in our school. This student-led club creates a welcoming and relaxed environment where athletes—and anyone interested—can come together to discuss and study the Bible, strengthen their faith, and talk about real-life topics that impact our school and community. FCA focuses on helping students learn how to live out their faith both on and off the field, promoting teamwork, integrity, and leadership through Christ. FCA is more than just a club—it’s a family that inspires faith, friendship, and purpose.

Game Development Club

Joining the Video Game Development Club is a fun way to turn your creativity and coding skills into playable games. Golf Club

Every Wednesday with Mr. Jacobson (ryan.jacobson@austinisd.org): No ifs, ands, or putts about it!

Joining the golf club is a great way to learn a new sport and enjoy time outdoors. Members get to practice their swings, improve their putting, and develop patience and focus on the course. Student Newspaper

NJHS

Joining the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a wonderful way to develop leadership, service, and academic excellence. Rock Band Club

Verde FC

Every Tuesday and Thursday with the Mrs. Taylor (BGCGarcia@bgcaustin.org): Fun and Competition is the Goal!

Through BGC we are partnering with Austin FC Verde Leaders program, which is on-site, after-school training sessions twice a week Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30pm-6:45pm. Students develop soccer skills and critical SEL skills, such as healthy communication and perspective-taking.
