We are thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of Yostin and Abraham, who recently participated in the 2025 Austin Area Lions Club Peace Poster Competition! Both students showcased their artwork and shared their ideas about peace in front of an audience of approximately 45 people during the celebration luncheon. Their creativity, dedication, and confidence in public speaking made us all incredibly proud.
A special thank you to Mrs. Cierra Barnes, our talented art teacher, for guiding students to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and gain confidence in self-expression. We also appreciate Mrs. Adams for attending the luncheon and supporting our students—it meant so much to see staff cheering them on in person.
We are proud of Yostin and Abraham for representing Gus Garcia YMLA with poise, enthusiasm, and a commitment to promoting peace. Their efforts highlight the importance of creativity, leadership, and community engagement.
