STEM Club Field Trip

We are excited to share that on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, our campus will participate in a special STEM enrichment experience through the UTeach Outreach After-School STEM Clubs program for grades 6–8. This event will offer our students a chance to dive into hands-on, engaging STEM activities that spark curiosity and deepen their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and math.

UTeach Outreach’s After-School STEM Clubs are built around meaningful, inquiry-based projects that encourage students to think critically, problem-solve, and work together. The lessons go beyond the traditional classroom experience, giving students opportunities to explore real-world STEM challenges in a fun and supportive environment. Throughout the year, participating students also prepare for a Mini-STEM Competition held at The University of Texas at Austin, where they will compete with other local middle-school teams for trophies and recognition.

The program is free to families, with all materials and staffing provided. Activities are aligned with TEKS standards, allowing students to reinforce and extend what they are already learning in their core classes. In addition to building academic skills, the program helps students develop confidence, perseverance, and teamwork—qualities that benefit them in every area of life.

Our December 9 session will highlight some of the exciting STEM learning taking place after school this year. Students who are already enrolled will receive details from their science teachers, and families who are interested in joining can request a permission packet from any 6th-grade science teacher.

We encourage all families to consider this opportunity. Programs like this inspire students, expand their interests, and give them valuable experiences beyond the school day. Thank you for supporting STEM education and helping us provide meaningful learning opportunities for our young scholars!
